sorry.įeature-wise, sorry IK, but as much as I do love AT, AK has it in spades here. AK gives you a quick 'gear browser' for presets and the category view is a neat touch however I don't like the 'instant presets' that are created each time you tweak any setting in AK. Preset management is a bit harder to compare - ATs is again nice and clear, but relies on you to remember which one is which as there's no visual prompt. I do like having the panel in front of me rather than having to drill into the controls to tweak any settings - and it doesn't feel just as busy as AKs, just a bit cleaner IMHO. AK also seems to generate feedback a lot earlier than AT does, which I'm not as keen on.īoth apps have a decent range of gear available (comparing when bought at their top pricepoint) and while AK's range of additional gear is great at this point (TAOS is tempting) it would be somewhat expensive to complete the set.Īs far as the interface goes, I do prefer AT over AK. That said, I do prefer the depth of tone I get with AT - AK seems a bit 'thinner' for want of a better description.

However here's my experience on the gear.īoth apps have a great range of tones, with AmpKit (AK) having an edge in high gain - does need qualified though: I have to run an OD pedal in Amplitube (AT) when I'm working with any level of gain meaning that the Lead and Metal amps don't sound like their respective models in the full AT until I do so, whereas with AK there's lots of gain on tap.

I have the iRig interface so cannot compare directly with the AmpLink one. I have both apps running on my (son's) iPod Touch.

Seems every thread I read from this guy there is shady crap going on and now he admits he pirates software to the dismay of the software companies that need to pay their bills and this guy is robbing you, likew he robbed me.Īdding my tuppence worth in here. Worst thing is when I asked him for a refund of the difference since it wasn't a Schaller he mnade up some story about some guy in Russia owes him money from a paypal transaction. He was acting like he was being generous by doing so, but he was diushonest in not being upfront. He must have felt guilty before sending it as he charged $70 for it knowing full well it wasn't a Schaller unless he is stupid or blind, as he "threw in" a Duncan Distortion pickup. Well done.ĭigial scammed me by selling me a "Schaller Floyd Rose" tremelo only when I got it, it wasa POS GFS made in China trem.

as a courtesy too, we enjoy respectful competition with them but to see you've specifically admitted to pirating their software they might want to know.
